NUS CNM Society
The NUS CNM Society aims to represent the students of Communications and New Media in NUS, as the bridge between the CNM Department and students.
As Vice President (External) from 2020 - 2021, and President from 2021 - 2022, I led a team of like-minded students to achieve this goal, weathering through and eventually exiting the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some of our initiatives include:
- Freshman Orientation Programme
- Pitch It (a film competition)
- Beyond the Module (a series of industry talks)
- CNM Connects (a community service initiative)
- CNM Buddies (a virtual befriending activity)
- Merchandise and book sales
RVRC
I have stayed in NUS' Ridge View Residential College for all 4 years of my undergraduate studies.
This has been a very fulfilling experience, as I took on various roles, from the House sub-committees, to being a Residential Assistant, and a Student Assistant for outdoor activities.
Some of my contributions to RVRC include:
- Residential Assistant (Jul 2022 - May 2024), part of the Admin Sub-Committee
- Student Assistant for RV Kayak and Clean
- Student Assistant for RVN2002 Wild Asia: Conservation matters
- Helper at RVRC Open House
- Student Ambassador
- House sub-committee member, Publicity (2020 - 2021)
NUS Arts Production Crew
As President of NUS Arts Production Crew (previously known as NUS ExxonMobil Campus Concerts Crew) from 2022 - 2023, I challenged myself with leading a crew that was more technically skilled than I was.
With our commitment and teamwork, we upheld the role of our Crew in NUS' Centre for the Arts, in providing learning opportunities for our members to try out various stage roles in a safe learning environment.
From rebranding our Crew's name, to organising the concert Bring It Back to Live 2023: Reflection, this is an experience that has enriched me greatly.
